Registration includes the following services:
- Access to the conference area, talks, and poster session on all days
- Refreshments during the morning and afternoon breaks
- Lunch
- Early access to the proceedings, available until the end of June 2025
Please note:
- Student status (Bachelor, Master, PHD) must be confirmed by providing a certificate of matriculation from an university. Please send your certificate by email to the conference office.
- Late registration: After 1 March 2025 the regular fee is EUR 1,000.
- Cancellation of registration: Cancellations have to be made in writing only. In the case of cancellation after 1st March 2025, no refund can be made.
- Consent to the use of conference photos by ESA: Photos will be taken at the 9th European Conference on Space Debris on behalf of ESA, which may include images of you. ESA would like to use these photos and requests your consent. This consent will be provided by you during the registration process by agreeing to the ‘Privacy Notice and Consent’.

Conference Student Sponsorship Programme
We are pleased to announce that the 9th European Conference on Space Debris has been selected to participate in the ESA Academy Conference Student Sponsorship Programme!
Through this initiative, the ESA Education Office will sponsor up to four tertiary education students to attend the conference. The sponsorship includes:
- Student registration fees, which will be directly covered by the ESA Education Office.
- Travel and accommodation reimbursement of up to EUR 600, provided as a single bank transfer after the event upon submission of valid receipts.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the ESA Academy Student Sponsorship, applicants must meet the following conditions at the time of application:
- Present an accepted contribution at the conference (oral presentation or poster).
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of the conference.
- Hold citizenship in an ESA Member State, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, or Slovenia.
- Be enrolled as a student (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in a tertiary education program, not graduating before the conference.
- Not receive overlapping financial support to attend the conference, unless properly justified.
- Agree to the terms outlined in the ESA Academy’s Privacy Policy.
Priority consideration will be given to students with less than two years of professional experience and those who have never participated in an ESA Education Office-sponsored activity.
Application Deadline and Selection Process
The deadline to submit applications is 15 December 2024, at 23:59 CET. Decisions, supported by the Programme Committee, will be communicated no later than 15 January 2025.
